RESPECT "Show a little Love"

If you stare into the ocean long enough your definition of respect begins to change.  For one, “you can’t drink all that water”, for two, “there’s something out there so much bigger than you!”

I’ve taken some time to just look, listen and take it all in.  RESPECT: Realizing Evidence of a Superior Principle that Elicits Conscience Thought.  In other words, you know right from wrong and sometimes in life, doing the “right thing” is the most important thing.

So when we look at how we treat ourselves, are we doing the “right thing”?  Everyday it seems as if you hear about some new diet, weight loss program, workout, etc.  but deep down, how many us know that we are truly cheating ourselves by not living up to the principle of doing the “right thing”.  You know that eating the orange is better than the candy bar, you know that good pure water is better than the soda, so why not do the “right thing”?

When it comes the "food" we put in our body, there’s nothing like respecting the body by supplying it with the proper balance of what it needs.  Time to stop with the junk and start showing a little love.  A few simple ways to show the body love:

Fresh Fiber First – fresh fiber is simply raw vegetables or possibly fresh fruit before you put anything else into your body.  The fresh fiber serves as the usher for the other nutrients that are to follow.

The Fist Full – our stomachs are about the size of our fist.  People often wonder about portion size of foods, well if your stomach is the size of your fist, no need to force a plate full into it.

Fluids at the Finish – digestion can be thrown-off by the consumption of fluids while eating.  In an ideal diet we would consume enough vegetables and fruit that we would receive plenty water/fluid intake.  However, since that’s not the case fluids should be consumed at the end of the meal.  By holding off the flood you give your stomach a chance to breakdown the nutrients you have just ingested.

Three tips I wanted to share on showing your body some love while respecting the beautiful creation that you are.
